Pivaset participated in the International Call export trip
Pivaset was one of the companies in Northern Savonia that participated in an export promotion trip to Northern Sweden. During the trip, we learned about the large industrial investments in Northern Sweden in the green transition and their opportunities for Finnish companies. Destinations included SSAB Luleå, Boden Business Park, Stegra and Wibax Group Ab in Piteå.
"Northern Sweden is experiencing a strong construction boom caused by the green transition, which can be seen, for example, in the huge factory projects in Boden and Luleå. Large industrial projects open up opportunities for Finnish companies. Industrial and infrastructure construction is followed by civil engineering, and the area will need a large number of workforce and experts from different fields over the next 10 years. The trip to northern Sweden was very valuable and gave a good view of Pivaset's future opportunities in Sweden. Fire extinguishing equipment are needed in industry, civil engineering and housing," says Olli Inkinen, CEO of Pivaset Oy.
During the trip, we also got to see Wibax Group's fully electric tanker truck transporting chemicals. Wibax's CEO Jonas Wiklund, together with the company's technical expert Jonathan Berg, presented the truck's fire extinguishing equipment. According to Inkinen, it could be supplemented in the future with fluoride-free fire extinguishers suitable for lithium battery fires, as well as with an APS fire extinguisher intended for battery fires and connected to fire hydrants at charging points. "The APS fire extinguisher can be used to cool the battery under the electric car, which can win valuable extra time before the fire brigade arrives," says Inkinen.
Expansion into the Swedish and wider Nordic markets has been underway at Pivaset for some time, which gained new impetus, outlook and goals from the International call export trip. Pivaset expanded its own sales team to Sweden last autumn. "We offer a comprehensive service in Sweden, in Swedish," says Inkinen.
